Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200) is a
performance-based certification test, which is used to affirm your knowledge
and skills as a Linux system administrator in basic administration tasks. The
RHCSA is a hands-on test that evaluates real-world tasks that are needed across
many IT environments and deployment scenarios, including physical, virtual, and
public and private cloud infrastructures.
The
RHCSA tests your knowledge in basic administration tasks, such as installing
and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, managing users and groups,

prepare. However, you are not required to take a class; you may take just the
exam.
While

when preparing for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam,
it’s important to realize that passing the exam cannot rely solely on classroom
instruction. Achieving this certification takes a well-rounded commitment,
involving not only in-class instruction, but also hands-on steps, real-life
experience, and fundamental knowledge of Linux system administration.
Each
person brings their own special set of skills and experiences. Previous
interface with Linux environments, the ability to think through and
troubleshoot challenges in a timely fashion, and a natural technical aptitude
all can positively or negatively affect a candidate’s readiness for the RHCSA
exam. Therefore, it is generally recommended to not only receive classroom
instruction but to back up that instruction with diligent self-study and lab
work to reinforce knowledge gained in training.
Exam format: The RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
exam is a performance-based, hands-on exam, and it assesses your skills by
evaluating your completion of different system administrator tasks in
real-world scenarios using Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The RHCSA exam does not
permit internet access like a traditional exam, and you may not bring any
materials into the exam (like notes, books, or any digital references). You
will have access to documentation that is installed on the system while taking
the RHCSA exam. You can take the RHCSA exam at authorized testing centers, or
you may take the exam from home (or wherever else you feel private and
comfortable) in a secure remote exam format provided by Red Hat.
Scoring and Reporting: Once you take your Red Hat certification exam
through Evision Technoserve, your official score will be published via Red Hat
Certification Central - the official site for the release of your certification
status.
Exam Score Confidentiality: To protect the integrity and confidentiality of the
exam process, Red Hat is the only provider that may release exam scores. As it
relates to exam marks, examiners in the testing center or Evision Technoserve
cannot report or communicate to you your exam score or performance.
Scores are Posted: As a rule of thumb, you should see your results posted within
three (3) U.S. business days after you take the exam. Once scored, you will
receive an email communication from Red Hat Certification Central regarding
your score, along with a link to sign into your Red Hat Certification Central
account.
Score Reporting: Results
are only reported which provide only the total score, expressed as a
percentage, describing how you performed on the exam overall. Red Hat does not
report your performance with respect to any one task, question, or exam
section, to help ensure that candidates have an equitable and consistent
examination process.
